Last weekend the latest trailer for CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR was released and it contained a lot to take in all at once. So after rewatching it a few hundred times, there are a few scenes that we want to point out and talk about.
If you have yet to see it, here is the trailer and let’s discuss the five moments that made our jaws drop after you have finished watching it.
1. THE BACK STORY OF THE WINTER SOLDIER.
Are we going to see a little more into the creation of the Winter Soldier? This image hints at that or is this some sort of meditation chamber that Bucky goes into when he wants to remember the good old days?
2. IS THIS THE RAFT/VAULT/NEGATIVE ZONE?
If you are familiar with the comics you know that Tony Stark builds a super prison to hold those that go against the Registration Act. Now, what we are wondering is what are they going to call this in the movie?
3. THE BLACK PANTHER
I am very excited about the Black Panther finally getting some screen time. Although Wakanda was mentioned and shown in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, it would be great to know a little more about it and T’Challa.
4. THE EPIC BATTLE
This scene is going to be heartbreaking to see. I mean watching Black Widow and Hawkeye fight is going to be tough. Especially after seeing how close she is with his family. I am excited in seeing Ant-Man in action and seeing how they are going to play (highlight for spoiler) Giant-Man in the picture. Speaking of Ant-Man…
5. ANT-MAN IS RIDING AN ARROW SHOT FROM HAWKEYE!
It is always great how MARVEL listens to its fans and want to please them. Since Civil War and the teams were announced we have been asking to see Ant-Man and Hawkeye team up and it looks like we will see it in the movie. How many times will this happen? We don’t know the answer to that, but knowing that it is happening, is just fantastic.
If you are wondering where fans got this idea from, just check out the cover to Avengers #223.
We wanted to make this a list of five great moments from the trailer, but we had to add just one more to the list.
EXTRA MOMENT – SPIDER-MAN!
Yes! Seeing Spider-Man at the end of the trailer was just fantastic. Although he did look a little too CGI, I love the throwback to the eyes, very Steve Ditko-like. Being a huge Spider-Man fan, I can not wait to see how they use him in the movie and I am praying that Captain America give his The Speech. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
