Bring home Disney’s Lady and the Tramp

Disclaimer: The Fandads were provided with a digital copy of Lady and the Tramp for review. All thoughts, opinions, and plates of spaghetti that we ate are our own.
I remember when I was younger seeing Lady and the Tramp as a double feature with The Aristocats and maybe that is why I always mix up the two, but one thing for sure I always remember is the spaghetti scene. Little-by-little I have been introducing my children to all the movies I loved growing up and now I can add Lady and the Tramp to that collection thanks to the recently released Signature Edition of the beloved classic on Blu-ray and DVD.

With all of the digitally animated movies that my children have seen, it’s always great to show them something that was done by hand and took a lot of time, patience and love to make. This is what makes these Signature Editions so great, seeing all of the extras that they put into it to show how the movie was made and all of the behind the scenes stuff.
I mean, just watching the animation of the dogs running around is so brilliant that it is hard to believe that this is a hand-drawn movie. Luckily we have some pretty cool deleted scenes that are not complete and my children can see how those drawing became the finished product. Yes, there are 6 deleted scenes on the Signature addition along with the other extras.

Bonus Features:

  • Sing-a-long version, for you to get your karaoke on with the characters from the movie.
  • The original theatrical version of the movie.
  • Inside Walt’s Story Meetings
  • 6 Deleted Scenes
  • 3 trailers
  • A making of Documentary
  • Walt & His Dogs
  • Stories from Walt’s Office
  • How to Make a Meatball
  • and many more
This movie is one to have in your collection and is a great story for children of all ages. Although by today’s standards some scenes or characters might be a little controversial, the movie still holds up well and is not to be missed.
