Disclaimer: The Fandads have teamed up with our friends from LEGO and received a few LEGO sets to help promote their #BuildToGive campaign.
I have been fortunate to not have stepped on any LEGO pieces in my adulthood. My children are good about cleaning up after themselves when it comes to their LEGO sets, but while they are lucky enough to have some sets to build and create there are some children that are not as lucky. As a way to help out those children LEGO is sharing the gift of play with their #buildtogive campaign.
So what is the #buildtogive campaign? For every LEGO ornament built and shared, the LEGO Group will donate one LEGO set through local charity partners, giving 500,000 children around the world the chance to play. To learn more or to get instructions on how to build some ornaments visit LEGO.com/BuildToGive.
My children and I built a few ornamanets with the Classic set we have and will post these on our Instagram page to help out those children in need.

If you are in the Chicago area and would like to help out visit your participating LEGO store, build an ornament and take a picture of it using the hashtag #BuildToGive and you are done! You can also visit The LEGO Store at the Water Tower Place located at 835 N Michigan Avenue and build a set there. This campaign runs from November 5 – Saturday, December 13th, so you still have some days to help out.
