Having Fun with Some New Toys from NSI!

Disclaimer: The Fandads were provided with the following items for review: All-Pro Passer, Spybots Room Guardian & Laser X Long Range Blaster set. All thoughts, opinions, and fun times are our own.

With the New York Toy Fair passing us, we have been lucky to have some companies reach out to us to review some of their new toys. The following toys are great to play around the house or outside, depending on the weather. We will break down each to for you and sum up our thoughts on each one.

All-Pro Passer Robotic Quarterback

I love playing with my children as much as the next dad but every now and then I would love to get a rest from doing that. Playing catch with my son has increased recently with the hype of the big game that recently passed. I know that playing catch is a great way to bond with my son but after throwing the ball for the 100th time my arm needs a rest.

This is where the All-Pro Passer comes in hand. What the App-Pro Passer does is shoot the football to a player and throws it in multiple patterns. That’s right! I can program the passer to throw the ball in a specific route for the player to catch it. The All-Pro Passer throws the ball in slant routes, straight routes, and post routes. The system is great because it helps teach children routes that are common in football games.

The All-Pro Passer is a fun toy to play outside and not only teach you a thing or two about football but it will keep you active while doing that. Here is everything that the Al-Pro Passer can do and has:

  • Programmed with the skill, timing and accuracy of a pro quarterback
  • Throws a perfect spiral every time!
  • 9 different passing zones – lets you practice hundreds of plays!
  • Launches the ball over 25 yards
  • Play one-on-one, three-on-three or with as many players as you want. You can even practice catching on your own!
  • Requires 4 “C” (1.5V) batteries (not included).
  • Ages 14+

SpyBots Room Guardian

The SpyBots Room Guardian is a pretty cool concept and something I wish I had when I was younger. It is basically self-explanatory but I will break down what it does and how it works.

The user of the Room Guardian programs it by using the 4 buttons that are on the unit. If someone crossed the sensor on the guardian they are prompted to enter the passcode. If they enter is incorrectly or not within the correct amount of time the security arms stick out and an alarm sounds. I will say that the alarm is pretty loud and can get annoying pretty fast. I guess that works to keep intruders away.

The unit can be hung on your children’s door with the adhesive hook that is included. This may seem like a good way to hang the monitor but after a while, it might start slipping off and you would have to nail it to the door. If this is the case be sure you place it where your children can reach it easily. Here is more info about the SpyBots Room Guardian.

  • Your own 24/7 room security!
  • Place Room Guardian on your door, and program it with your secret code.
  • Power up your Room Guardian and it lights up and goes into “armed alert mode.” Now it’s ready to “sense” intruders!
  • Welcome guests: Trip the motion sensor, enter the correct code, and hear your Room Guardian declare “access granted!”
  • Unwelcome guests: Trip the motion sensor, enter the wrong code – or no code at all – and Room Guardian’s four arms pop out, flashing red lights, as an alarm sounds and issues the warning “Intruder! … Intruder! …”
  • Room Guardian is one of four Spybots Cybernetic Security Robots. Collect them all!
  • Requires 3 AAA batteries (not included)
  • Ages 6+

Laser X Long Range Blaster Set

When I was younger Lazer Tag was very popular. I remember commercials of kids playing in a big arena that looked like soemthing from the future. As the years went on there were Lazer Tag places where you can go to play and the technoogiy would get better each and every year.

With the way the world is going today, being in a roomd with strangers running around and shooting each other might not be so ideal. This is why a set like the Laser X Long Range Battle is a fun toy to have around the household. It would be great to play in a wide open space, but as you can see in the video below if you are creative enough you can have fun in any room of the house.

My kids enjoyed playing with these blasters and loved that they could customize the color of the blaster. After we recorded the video above they spent the rest of the night running around the house shooting each other and, in my eyes, getting some good exercise. I think we will be buying another set of these blasters so I can join in on the fun and play with them.

  • Set equips 2 players with Laser X Revolution Ultra Long-Range Blasters
  • Blast opponents up to 500 feet away! Features include rapid fire and quick-slide reload.
  • Blaster to blaster play – no chest or armband receivers!
  • Play as teams or individuals
  • Choose from 20 different team colors
  • Sounds and lighting effects keep track of your shots and hits
  • Requires 6 “AAA” (1.5V) batteries (not included)
  • Does NOT use a real laser; Infrared beam is not visible

All of these toys are available online and at your local Target and Wal-Mart. Links for each of the items will be listed below and we are not affilitated with any of these sites. We will have some review videos up soon so make sure you are following us on Youtube to see them when they are posted.
