Remember wakng up on Saturday mornings and watching all the great cartoons that were on. I remember getting up early with a bowl of cereal and sitting down in front of the television and flipping between channels to watch my favorite shows. One of those shows was The Smurfs and I always loved seeing their fun adventures and seeing how Gargamel failed to capture them again and again.
While my children have not seen any of the older cartoons they are aware of the show. They have seen the Smurfs in toys and the few movies that hae been released. I will introduce them to the older cartoons but until that day comes we can watch together this new version of the show that airs on Nickelodeon.
This new iteration of the show holds the same charm and innocence of the original show. Each episode is about 10-12 minutes long and teaches a valuable lesson to the viewers. The look of this show is great due to the computer animation that is used. Althought I love the old animated-cartoony look, this new look is a nice feast for the eyes.
This collection contains 18 episodes and these were the ones that we enjoyed!
