Star Trek: Prodigy Review and Interview

We might have been late to the Star Trek: Prodigy starship but we are glad we finally got on board. Star Trek: Prodigy is an action-packed animated show that brings you into the world of Star Trek. The show is great for newbies and seasoned fans alike and has something for everyone. If you can watch this show, we highly recommend it.

Ok, so after all of that praise, what is the show about? The show follows a collection of characters who escape a prison planet on a Starfleet starship. They are not versed in the history of the Starfleet Academy and are learning about the ship and about themselves as they fly across the galaxy. There are a lot of great elements in the show but at the core of it is the theme of belonging and family. We see within each episode how these characters are getting close to each other and are willing to do all they can for each other.

The characters of the show are an eclectic bunch of species and really stand out on their own. My personal favorite is Rok-Tahk with Dal a close second. Seeing how they all interact with each other and learn about life away from prison is interesting to see. The show pulls you in from the beginning and you will want to see the second half of the season once you are done with these episodes.

At the beginning of the interview, the guy says he kind of compares it to The Goonies.
