Navy Pier, in partnership with the General Consulate of Mexico in Chicago and the Government of Jalisco, is excited to announce Mexico Fest, which will take place May 5-7. Navy Pier will host over 30 artisan vendors from Mexico to form a “mercadito” (marketplace), free performances by Mexican musicians and dancers and exciting workshops for children.

Tentative schedule as follows:

Friday, May 5

Location: Fifth Third Bank Family Pavilion

• 4pm – 4:30pm – Opening remark from Navy Pier, General Consulate of Mexico in Chicago and Government of Jalisco
• 4:30 – 5pm – Ballet Folklorico Sones Mexicanos
• 5pm – 6pm – Mariachi Cuatro Vientos

Saturday, May 6

Location: Culture Corner

• 1pm – 2pm – Ballet Folklorico Mitotiani
• 2pm – 4 pm “Puro Jalisco” Children’s Workshop by Patricia Dominguez
