Kick off the holiday season by welcoming Santa as he makes his grand entrance by boat on the iconic Seadog, operated by City Cruises. The “Big Guy” will arrive at Navy Pier’s South dock at Noon on Sunday, November 24, then head to Harry Caray’s Tavern for brunch, photo ops, and live music in the cozy setting of the tavern’s Lakefront Lodge winter pop-up.
Fresh from his appearance at The Wintrust Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, Santa will trade in his sleigh for the Seadog by City Cruises and sail to Navy Pier for a festive brunch at Harry Caray’s Tavern. Sleigh bells in hand, Santa will arrive on the bow of the Seadog speedboat and be greeted by an impressive water cannon salute from the Chicago Fire Department. Upon docking, Santa will greet waiting children and, escorted by bagpipers performing holiday classics, lead the way to Harry Caray’s Tavern.
All are welcome to the free arrival festivities and Santa’s procession along the Pier. For those hoping to stay for brunch, reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made from the Santa’s Arrival events page on the Harry Caray’s Tavern website. A $10 per person deposit is required and will be applied to the bill.
