Friends, the holidays are coming up, and it is time to start looking for gifts for those in your life who love the geeky stuff. We have gathered a few items that are sure to make you a hero this holiday season. Some of the items on here are from affiliates, so buying from them will put a few cents in our pockets.
For the Video Game Lover
Marvel Cosmic Invasion
If they love old school beat-em-ups like X-Men or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade games, gift Marvel Cosmic Invasion for the gamer in your house. The game has a single-player and multiple-player mode, where up to 4 players can play together. It is always great when you can play with friends and with your favorite Marvel characters. The game is available for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S
Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek
We were lucky to get a copy of this game, and if you are a fan of Goosebumps, this is a fun game for your family. The game is a semi-open world, and you are trying to solve a mystery. There are puzzles to solve, and the choices you make can give you one of two endings. If you want a fun game that is not too scary to play, check out Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek.
For the Series Binger
Yellowstone
Who knew a show about ranchers in the West would take off and be so popular? The Paramount Plus show, Yellowstone, has built a strong following and even created a few spin-offs. Kevin Costner leads an all-star cast following the life of John Dutton III and his cattle ranch empire. While this may sounds like a niche idea for a show, it covers topics that are relatable and take you into the world of cattle ranching.

The Morning Show
In the same vein as The Newsroom, Sports Night, and Murphy Brown, The Morning Show shows us how a series based in a television studio setting can be captivating and entertaining. Each season gets more and more intriguing and unveils storylines that pull you in. The cast is amazing and this series will make a great addition to your home collection.

SpongeBob SquarePants Season 15
SpongeBob has been a staple in my household since before my children were born. Thanks to these DVD releases, my son has become a fan and binges on each season. It’s crazy to think that we have 15 seasons of adventures in Bikini Bottom, but each season is more zany and hilarious. If you have a SpongeBob SquarePants fan in your home, pick up the latest season, filled with the latest 26 episodes.
For the Comic Book Fan
Local Man
What happens when you are a superhero, get cancelled and have to move back home with your parents? These questions and more make up the storyline from Tony Fleecs and Tim Seeley’s comic Local Man. The adventures of Jack Xaver are collected in a few trades for you to catch up. Buy them individually or buy the Deluxe Edition that contains all thirteen issues.
Avina Comics
Avina Comics is a local comic book creator that we have highlighted before and even had them on our Support Local videos. John Avina’s comics cover many different genres but pay respect to his Latino roots. Some of the titles that I suggest picking up are The Last Paletero on the Block, Lockjoa and Pistolero, and Starved Rock!
For the Movie Fans
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
It’s been years since I have seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and it was very interesting to watch it again. The film just celebrated its 50th anniversary and looks stunning in 4K. The disc comes with the usual deleted scenes but also has two new features with some of the cast members of the movie. If you are a fan of this classic, you will need to add this to your collection.

Secret Mall Apartment
If you know the story of the Fandads, you know that we meet working in a bookstore at a mall. The documentary Secret Mall Apartment reminded me of those days and wondering what went on in the backrooms of the mall when we left for the night. Watching this and seeing how Michael Townsend and his creative friends moved into a mall is fascinating and will have you looking at your local mall differently.

Criterion Channel Subscription
If you have a movie lover in your family, a subscription to the Criterion Channel would make the perfect gift. Every month, Criterion curates movies based on a theme, but also has hundreds of movies at your fingertips. Subscriptions start at $10.99 a month or $99.99 for an entire year.
Fandads Gear & Support the Fandads
Clothing is always a great gift, so why not get that geek parent in your life some Fandads shirts!
We are also trying to save up to get a new lap top to continue running our site and get back to doing interviews with local artists, stores, and creators. You can always support our GoFundMe here.
