The brother duo of Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo) and Darth Dev (Tony Revolori) are back with another season of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past (say that 10x fast). The new season is a fantastic continuation of the previous story with more twists and surprises than you can swing a mynock at.
The story begins with Sig continuing his Force-building training with Jedi Bob (Bobby Moynihan). While training, Sig has visions of Dev in trouble. Just ike Empire Strikes Back, Sig is seeing the future that he is trying to prevent. In an attempt to prevent the future from happening, Sig goes on an adventure with Bob to stop their world from being destroyed. On this trip, they run into characters from different Star Wars series that join them in the fight.

Just like the first season, Pieces of the Past is only 4 episodes long and is the perfect length to tell this story. Each episode is roughly 25-30 minutes and runs at a quick pace. What is great is how the familiar opening changes with every episode. Keep watching to see Servo’s (Michael Cusack) messages to the audience.
Speaking of Servo, they have their own little side story this time around. Servo is trying to be more human, and he meets a droid that gives him feelings he has never felt before. Whereas Dev was the villain in the first series, this time we have Solitus (Dan Stevens), who has escaped from the Force Hold and has a connection to one of the characters. There are some great callbacks and Easter Eggs that will have you rewatching episodes to try to catch them all.

At the heart of the show is the relationship between Sig and Dev. Even though Dev is a Sith, Sig feels like there is still good in him. As the two interact and feel the impact of Solitus, we see how the allure of Solitus’ power tempts Dev. You will have to watch to see what happens between the two brothers.
Final Thought: LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past is a fantastic continuation of the previous story and leaves you wanting more. The introduction of new characters helps propel the story and fosters a fun bond with the already established characters.
Violence: There’s some animated violence in the movie. Nothing too disturbing and reminiscent of the first season.
Kid-Friendly: Pieces of the Past is very kid-friendly, like the first season. If your kids watched the first one, they will have a blast with this one as well. Once the action starts, the jokes come at full pace, and it is always great to see Sith versions of characters you knew as the good guys.
A new threat rises in the galaxy, and Sig and Dev Greebling must combine their powers of Force Building and Sith Breaking to stop it. Alongside Jedi Bob, Yesi Scala, and Servo, they will journey into the deepest corners of LEGO® Star Wars lore, uncovering pieces of all the galaxies that have come before.
