“I was afraid to go to my room” Scary movie memories and giveaway. #Lionsgate

I remember when I first saw The Blair Witch Project.  It was at a midnight showing at the old Lincoln Village theater.  The way this movie was promoted I did not know if it was real or not.  I do remember that there was a lot of hype for this movie.  The experience of watching this movie at an old theater is one that I miss nowadays, but watching it there really scared the crap out of me.

When the movie was over we all walked to the car without talking.  We just sat in silence on the ride home because of what we just saw.  I remember thinking to myself that my room was in the basement and I did not want to go there because it was dark.

This movie scared me so much that I was afraid to go to my room.  I was afraid of seeing someone standing in the corner of the basement as I made my walk into my room.  To this day I have only seen this movie once.  The Exorcist I have seen many times, but The Blair Witch Project only once.

That just might change this year and I just might see it again this Halloween, after the kids are asleep of course, thanks to our friends at Lionsgate.
