When I was younger, I would remember friends wanting to show me pictures of what they did on their summer vacations. I remember it being either an exciting thing or a tedious thing. Depending on where they went it was fun to look at their pictures, but imagine 4 or 5 people huddled around a photo album looking at printed pictures of different sizes. Come to think of it now, it wasn’t that much fun to do.
Now it seems that the days of the physical photo albums are a thing of the past. Think about the number of times you actually printed out the pictures you took on your last trip or family night out? There might not be many pictures that you printed out, unless you take advantage of the offers Prime Photos has to print out customized pictures and albums. If even that sounds complicated to do there is now a new way to share your photo album with friends thanks to the new Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote.
Imagine picking up your Alexa Voice Remote and saying into it “Show my photos from my summer vacation” and then magically on your television your photos pop up. This is what the new Amazon Fire TV can do and you can scroll through pictures or have a slideshow created for you to watch with your friends and family. This is great because instead of having people huddled around your tablet, phone or lap top you can all sit comfortably on the couch and view all of the pictures together.
So how can you see all of your photos on your television with the Amazon Fire TV Stick? It’s pretty simple. The Prime Photos app is pre-installed on your Fire TV and gives you access to your photos immediately. If you are an Amazon Prime member, Prime Photos is the way to go with all the pictures that you have taking up space on your phones. You see, US Amazon customers get unlimited photo storage with Prime Photos and 5 GB digital storage for videos and files. Watch the video below to see a hilarious example of how you can find your pictures.
Pretty easy, right? Our household right now has Alexa and the Amazon Fire TV stick and pretty soon we might get the Echo Show. Like Amazon Fire TV, the Echo Show can showcase all the photos in your Prime Photos account, with voice commands like, “Alexa, show my photos.” In fact, all the same commands work with Echo Show – just add “Alexa” to the beginning of each one.
