After what seems like a million seasons of Spongebob Squarepants we finally get the first spin-off of the show: The Patrick Star Show! Yes, Spongebob’s adorable best friend gets his own show and it is something to see.
Not straying too far from the formula that made SpongeBob SquarePants a hit, the Patrick Star Show has the same type of humor and ridiculousness. While it is its own show, it does feel like an extension of SpongeBob. SpongeBob does make a few appearances in this collection of episodes, but Patrick is clearly the star in this show.
Some familliar characters pop up in the show but we also get a slew of new characters too. Squidina Star, Ouchie, voiced by Spongebob himself, Tom Kenny and Cecil Star. It great to see new characters as we learn more about Patrick’s life and follow him in this new show.
