E.T. THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL 40TH ANNIVERSARY Review

I remember seeing E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial in the theaters with my family. I can’t remember the number of times that we saw it but I pretty much knew the dialogue by heart. E.T. is one of those movies that whenever I catch it on television I stop everything I am doing and sit down to watch it. My kids have caught bits and pieces of it but have never watched the entire thing. I think with the 40th-anniversary release of E.T. we need to have a family movie night and watch it together.

This is the original version of the movie, not the digitally altered one. Of the bonus features that are available the 40 years of E.T. is a pretty good one to watch. In this featurette, we hear thoughts from J.J. Abrams, Ernest Cline, Chris Columbus, and Leonard Maltin about their experiences with E.T. There is a cast reunion here but it is for the 20th anniversary. It is great seeing them reflect on the movie and the stories they have about filming E.T.
