Transformers: EarthSpark Season 1 Review and Interview

Growing up I was a fan of Transformers. I always loved watching the G1 series on television and the watching the movie just took mylove for the franchise to another level. It was always interesting to see the different iterations of the Transformers that came out and see where these stories were heading. What were great about those shows was how they kept the lore of the Transformers alive for new generations to learn all about them. Once the movies were released it seemed like Transformers ruled the world again and it can only get better from here.

Enter Transformers: EarthSpark, the latest show in the Transformers franchise. The big questiosn for this show are: Where can they go now? What new adventures are the Autobots and Decepticons going to have? Friends, those questions are answered and you will have a lot of fun with this show.

The show takes place after the Transformers war and there is no more fighting going on now. It’s strange to think of not seeing Optimus Prime fighting Megatron but this time around they are allies. They decent on the town of Witwicky, Pennsylvania, due to the appearance of Earth-born transformers called Terrans. The terrans “connect’ with Robby and Mo and here is where the fun begins.

EarthSpark applies to the Transformers fan in me because this is a side of the Transformers we never saw before. when we were first introduced to them they were already in the middle of a war with the Decepticons and we would get flashback episodes about how things were in the past but we never saw Tranformers learning how to be Transformers. Having Bumblebee as the teacher for the young Twitch and Thrash is fantastic because we always saw Bumblebee as the younger one trying to learn from the other Autobots. As a parent it is also great to see because we can relate a lot to what Bumblebee goes through as he tries to prepare the young Terrans.

We had the pleasure to talk to Transformers: EarthSpark Co-Executive producers, Dale Malinowski & Ant Ward, along with the voice of Robby, Sydney Mikayla regarding the show, the new take on the Transformers story and becoming a part of the franchise.
