Shared Experiences with the new STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS trailer.

I sat in the living room with my family watching the Monday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants and could not wait until halftime.  Then it was the moment we were all waiting for: the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

It was pretty awesome hearing my little girl cheer when Captain Phasma walked across the screen and watching my son jump and scream as the action played out on the screen in front of us. To be honest though, he jumps and screams at anything that is on the television screen sometimes.
As soon as the trailer ended we hit the rewind button and watched it a couple more times and then it was back to football, that is until my wife changed the channel to watch her dancing show.  While getting my daughter ready for bed that night we talked about the trailer and talked about when we will go see the movie. I love that I will be able to have this new experience with her and her brother and start a new tradition.
I saw the original trilogy with my parents and sisters. We waited in line to see them and we shared that experience together.  When the prequels were released I stood in line with my friends and wife for hours and that experience was different than it was with my family, but it was still a great experience to share with friends. Now, I have my children that I will be sharing the Star Wars experience with and I can not wait!
