Season 3 of Never Have I Ever is now streaming on Netflix and this season is all those words and more. When we last saw Devi it seemed that she and Paxton were going to be an item and Ben had moved on with Anessa. So it seems like everyone is living happily ever after, correct? This season we get some great moments. Some fun moments and some touching moments.
As with the previous seasons, things between Paxton and Devi do not go as planned. During their time apart a new person comes into Devi’s life in the form of Desi, the son of a new friend in Nalini’s life. Devi is supposed to watch over Desi during a party and when he enters the house, the sparks fly. Yes, there is a new love interest for Devi and we get to see how her mother reacts to this relationship.
One of my favorite episodes this season is “…Had a Breakdown”. This Ben-centric episode is another great view in the life of Ben and maybe the second most emotional episode of the season. We learn more about the relationship between Ben and his father. We also see a nice, yet uncomfortable, friendship between Ben and Paxton.
While there are many heartfelt moments throughout this season, one of them has to do with a racket. Yes, that might sound weird but it will make sense once you see it. This racket gave me an idea for a question to ask Poorna Jagnnathan and Richa Moorjani but we ran out of time. Maybe next time!
As a father of a young girl, the moments between Devi and Mohan are some of my favorite. Seeing how much joy he has in being a father and sharing his knowledge with her always bring a tear to my eyes. We also get to see more flashback of Nalini and Mohan and those scenes are also beautiful to watch. I hope we get to see more of these moments in the next season.
Season 3 of Never Have i Ever pulled on all the right heartsrings and gave us a great amount of laughs. The finale episode had me in tears like the finale of Season 1. We get a lot of answers in this season and get some great ideas about where season 4 will go. Make sure you stream this season and you already have watched it, watch it again!

Final Thoughts: Never Have I Ever Season 3 is a fantastic continuation of the series and creates many heartfelt moments that will stay with you after the episodes have ended. We see more growth from each character and can not wait to see what happens next with them.
Kid-Friendly: Although this show takes place in a high school, there are some subjects that are talked about that might not be suitable for all viewers. Parents, use your discretion, but I would say this show would be suitable for pre-teens.
Violence: There is no violence in the show. There is some verbal abuse by certain characters and a slap that is more funny than violent. One relationship can be triggering due to the male being controlling of his girlfriend.
