Xbox One Latest news and Comic-Con

As much as I love video games, my time to play has become limited due to work and my children. When I do play, it’s mostly family games that I can play with my daughter. I have yet to upgrade to the latest Xbox One, but that is all about to change in hopefully the coming months. Here’s why.

If you saw the video above you will notice that the new Xbox One S arrives on August 2. The system is 40% smaller than the current version of the Xbox One, but it has a little more under the hood than it seems. Like Yoda would say, “Judge me by my size, do you?”.

Xbox One S is the first and only console that allows you to watch Blu-ray movies and stream video in stunning 4K Ultra HD with High Dynamic Range (HDR). That means you’ll get to enjoy your favorite shows and movies in the clearest, most realistic video possible. With HDR support for video and gaming, Xbox One games like Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and Scalebound will look even better thanks to a higher contrast ratio between lights and darks, bringing out the visual depth of your favorites games.

Being a huge Gears of War fan, I was pretty excited about the announcement for part four being released. Then I saw this…..

That’s right, a Gears of War 4 Xbox One S Limited Edition 2TB Console.

Designed in collaboration between The Coalition and the Xbox design team, the first-ever custom-design Xbox One S bundle is made to look as if it were lifted right out of the game itself. From the laser-etched scratches, to the bloody thumbprint on the controller’s red metallic D-pad and the iconic Crimson Omen, the console and Xbox Wireless Controller – Gears of War 4 Crimson Omen Limited Edition bear the battle marks of a desperate fight against Gears of War 4’s new enemies – The Swarm. Available for $449 in select markets at launch, the Gears of War 4 Limited Edition 2TB Xbox One S Bundle is the ultimate Gears bundle and includes a number of digital bonuses.
Have you seen the new gameplay trailer? Showing J.D. Fenix and his dad, Marcus fighting together? Is this does not get you excited for this game, I don’t know what will.

Now if you get tired of fighting off the Swarm how about fighting off a swarm of Zombies? That’s right, Frank West is back in Dead Rising 4 and Xbox released this pretty cool infographic about the main man himself. With everyone talking selfies nowadays, why not learn how to take a perfect selfie from Frank.
XBOX AND COMIC-CON

If you are lucky enough to attend the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend Xbox will be there with some goodies for you. Keep an eye for Dead Rising 4’s Frank West walking around the convention floor.
Fans attending the event will find Frank up to his usual antics on Twitter – investigating signs of the zombie apocalypse, searching for the best Comic-Con cosplay and giving away limited edition Dead Rising 4 prizes. Of course, he’ll also make time to take photos on the show floor and in the Xbox Nerd HQ space from 3-4pm Saturday. Because selfies are what Frank does best.
Follow @Deadrising on Twitter and add Xbox on Snapchat starting now for the best of Frank’s Comic-Con coverage.
This weekend stop by the Nerd HQ 2016 (located at the New Children’s Museum) to meet the Dead Rising 4 development team and – more importantly – play the game and kill some zombies. There will be other blockbuster Xbox titles available to play too, including Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, Forza Horizon 3 and more, and it’s all free.
On Saturday, July 23 fans are invited to attend a special Dead Rising 4 Panel, where the Dead Rising 4 development team, special guest from Dead Rising: Endgame, Greg Miller (AKA: GameOverGreggy of Kinda Funny) and maybe even a surprise special guest will be talking about zombies, pop culture, video games and much more.
While the Fandads are not at Comic-Con this year (one day it will happen) we will try to keep you up to date with all the latest Xbox news and maybe post a selfie here and there of ourselves with the local zombies.
Enjoy and thanks for reading.
