Chicago Critics Film Festival Preview

The Chicago Critics Film Festival is upon us and here are the movies I am hoping to cover and tell you about!

Mr. K – I adore Crispin Glover and am all in for this one!

It Ends – A group of recent grads head out on a late-night drive for grub, hoping to enjoy one final hangout before their paths diverge. Instead, they accidentally turn onto a never-ending, two-lane hellscape surrounded by untold horrors!

40 Acres – Danielle Deadwyler!!

After a series of plagues and wars leaves society in ruins, the Freemans are surviving on a farm in the middle of nowhere… so long as they repel the occasional raiding party

Sorry, Baby – Something bad happened to Agnes. But life goes on – for everyone around her, at least.

Sister Midnight – At odds with her prying neighbors and under the constant oppressive noise and heat of the city, she decides to break free from the shackles of domesticity and follow her own path

A Little Prayer – In the South, a man tests the limits of patriarchal interference to protect his daughter-in-law when he discovers that his son is having an affair.

I’m also going to try to watch the shorts program and the one a lot of people are trying to attend Friendship!
