Society of the Snow Review
in 1993, the movie Alive told us the story of the Chilean rugby team whose plane crashed in the Andes mountain. This was the first time I had ever heard of the tragedy and I remember watching the movie and just being engulfed in the story. At the end of the film, we see an…

Night Swim Review
In 2014 Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire released a short film called Night Swim that showed a young woman swimming in her pool. The short lasts about 4 minutes and scares you by showing how helpless you are in a pool when there is no one around. If you have a moment search for the…

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Review
When we last saw Aquaman he was face down in a puddle of water after having one too many drinks in The Flash. This scene did not give us any hints of what was to come for Arthur Curry but it at least let us know that in some form he was still around the…

Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Fire Review
When any science fiction movie dealing with space is released, it will be always compared to the previous space movies. People will find similarities and complain about the lack of originality in these movies. The Iron Claw Review
When I was younger I remember going to my friend Jose’s house for a sleepover. Other than hanging out with my friend who recently moved to the suburbs we were excited to see Wrestlemania 3. His father ordered the pay-per-view and we could not wait to see Hulk Hogan take on Andre the Giant. This…

Wonka Review
Just to be honest, Gene Wilder is my Willy Wonka. I grew up watching him perform this role and always loved watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory whenever it was on the television. While he will always be my Wonka I know that people might enjoy the other version of Wonka and that is…

PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie Review and GiveawayI feel
I feel that we talk about the PAW Patrol so much on this site that we should create a section dedicated solely to them. In all honesty, though, the PAW Patrol movies are a lot of fun. There is a lot of humor in them. The action is pretty fun for a kids movie and…

We Live Here: The Midwest Review
Some days it is strange to think that there are people in this country that are bothered by who someone loves or what they identify as. When you spend your entire life with a particular mindset, you tend to think that everyone thinks like you and should not have any issues with it. I grew…

Point Break 4K Release
I remember going to the movies to see Point Break with my sisters and cousins. Watching this movie I felt such a rush to see what was going on on the big screen. I remember gripping the arms of the theater chair tight as Keanu Reeves’ face was being pushed closer and closer to the…

The Chicago International Film Festival has come and gone and the Fandads spent a few days watching some great movies. In our last post about the ChiFilmFest, we listed all of the movies we hoped to see. Due to the new day job and family commitments, I was not able to attend as many screenings…
